Meet The Mini Barn Farm
Welcome to The Mini Barn Farm
Where Farm Life Meets Celebration
Hi there, and welcome to the official blog of The Mini Barn Farm! We're so glad you're here—and whether you found us through a wedding, a cute video, or word of mouth in the Columbia or Chelan Valley, we're excited to share more of our world with you.
We’re a homeschooling family of seven, rooted in the heart of farm life. The farm is 6 acres of a small production apple orchard and hobby farm. Every day, we care for a joyful collection of animals—including our beloved miniature donkeys, mini Highland cow, Valais Blacknose sheep, bees, laying birds, and a bountiful cut flower garden. This farm isn’t just where we live—it’s where we create, grow, learn, and connect with our community.
What We Do
The Mini Barn Farm brings a one-of-a-kind experience to weddings, parties, and events across the Columbia and Chelan Valley. Our miniature donkeys (lovingly known as “beverage burros”) arrive clean, dressed in garlands or twinkling lights, and ready to serve drinks, party favors, or sweet memories to your guests.
We also offer appearances by our rare Valais Blacknose sheep and our charming mini Highland cow—perfect for photo ops, smiles, and a touch of rustic elegance. Each event we serve is a chance to share the heart of our farm with families, couples, and communities who love unique, meaningful celebrations.
This summer we will be adding a cut flower self serve farm stand in Pateros, where the Methow Valley and Columbia River meets. It is a premier fishing destination and a sweet little home town. Stay tuned for more details to come.
More Than Just Events
Our work doesn't stop at the pasture gate. We’re also proud breeders of miniature donkey foals, which we raise right here on the farm with daily care and socialization. We’ll be using this blog to share updates on available foals, behind-the-scenes farm life, and helpful tips for those dreaming of bringing a long-eared friend home.
We’ll also post:
Highlights from past events
Wedding and party planning inspiration
Seasonal farm stories
Ways we care for our animals
And insights into what it means to live this life—together as a family
